New York, N.Y. — Bonnier Corp.’s Yachting magazine has appointed John Wooldridge its new Editor-in-Chief. This marks Wooldridge’s return to Bonnier; he previously served as managing editor of Yachting and MotorBoating. Most recently, he served as editor-in-chief of PassageMaker.


“John has shown an innate ability to connect with his audience through print, digital media and events, and his industry reputation for credibility and integrity are second to none,” said David Ritchie, Bonnier’s Chief Content Officer. “We think John is the right candidate at the right time to solidify Yachting‘s execution across channels, better connect with its core audience through engaging content, and strengthen its position within the industry.”

In his 36 years of affiliation with marine magazines, Wooldridge has been privileged to cruise, fish, dive and thoroughly enjoy boats domestically and globally, and to share those experiences with like-minded readers.


Wooldridge comes to Bonnier from Active Interest Media, where he served as editor-in-chief of PassageMaker since 2008. He joined Bonnier Corp. in 2006, where he served as managing editor of Yachting and MotorBoating. Wooldridge also served as managing editor of MotorBoating and Sailing from 1998 to 2006.
