New York, NY (May 3, 2019)—Theresa Torres has been named Senior Director of Global Membership Services of Diversity Best Practices, it was announced today by Deborah Munster, Vice President of Diversity Best Practices, a division of Working Mother Media. Her appointment is effective immediately. Torres joins a team that provides value-added advisory services to Diversity Best Practices’ 200-plus member companies.
Torres joins Diversity Best Practices from ALPHA New Jersey, a nonprofit board focused on the development of LatinX leadership and development for its 3,000-plus members. Prior to her time at ALPHA New Jersey, she served as Senior Director of Campus Recruiting at ADP, where she was responsible for designing and operationalizing a fully integrated approach to university and early-career hiring. Before that, Torres was Director of Workforce Development at Verizon, where she lead a cross-enterprise Diversity and Inclusion strategy. She has also held various Diversity and Talent Acquisition roles at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.
Torres has been actively involved in development and education within the Latinx community, having served on the boards of ASPIRA of New York and 100 Hispanic Women. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior from Concordia College and currently resides in New Jersey.
