New York, N.Y. — Saveur magazine has announced the winners of its second annual Culinary Travel Awards, a celebration of those who put cuisine and culture at the forefront of the travel experience. A panel of Saveur editors and industry professionals — including celebrity chefs such as Lidia Bastianich and Rick Bayless, and award-winning photographers and travel writers — selected the best destinations and travel providers across 21 categories for the coveted Experts’ Choice list. Additionally, Saveur’s discriminating readers took part in an online survey to name the Readers’ Choice winners.
Honorees include Tokyo and Los Angeles (Best Markets & Shops); Las Vegas and London (Best Cocktails & Drinks); The Restaurant at Meadowood (Best Hotel Restaurant: Fewer than 100 Rooms); The Chandelier at The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas (Best Hotel Bar); and Emirates (Best In-Flight Dining: First and Business Class). The awards are featured on Saveur.com and will receive extensive print coverage in the October issue — on newsstands Sept. 16.
“It is thrilling to see the awards continue to grow,” said Saveur Publisher Kristin Cohen. “The culinary travel landscape is always expanding, and our readers have more options than ever before, so it is our commitment to seek out the very best in the industry, whether it’s the world’s best in-room dining or best brewery experience.”
