New York, NY—August 12, 2019, Sarah Gray Miller has been named editor-in-chief of Saveur, it was announced today by Joe Brown, Vice President & Editorial Director, Bonnier Corporation. She returns to the magazine where she began her career and will oversee both the print and digital properties. Her appointment is effective immediately. Miller replaces Stacy Adimando, who has left the company.

A veteran media editor and digital strategist, Miller served as the editor-in-chief of Modern Farmer, from 2015-2018, during which time the magazine was nominated for three ASME awards and won General Excellence in 2017. From 2008-2013, Miller was editor-in-chief at Country Living where she led Hearst’s 1.6 million-circulation monthly through a repositioning that garnered Media Industry News’s 2010 “Top Reinvention of the Year” award. Additionally, the magazine was nominated for its first-ever ASME. Miller conceived and launched as editor-in-chief, Budget Living, which was named Advertising Age’s 2003 “Launch of the Year.” It also won an ASME for General Excellence in 2004. Miller also served in senior editorial positions at O At Home, InStyle, Entertainment Weekly, and Organic Style. Her career in media began at Meigher Communications where she worked on the launches of Garden Design and Saveur.

“We could not be more excited to have Sarah Gray joining Saveur,” Brown said. “She’s an award-winning, food-obsessed, proven leader. Her vision for the brand combined with her multi-platform editorial skill is the nourishment Saveur needs to grow and continue to delight its readers.”

“This feels like a real homecoming for me,” Miller says. “I was fresh out of college when I assisted with the launch of Saveur and learned so much from the magazine’s founding editors. Their vision—of food as intrinsically linked to a people, a place, a culture—is even more relevant today. And I’m beyond thrilled to be steering Saveur into the future.”

Miller is a graduate of Vassar College and lives in Harlem and Athens, NY. You can follow Saveur on  Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
