New York, N.Y. — Eric Zinczenko, who Monday was named to head all Bonnier Corp. magazine brands, made his first appointment today, promoting Gregory Gatto to publisher of Field & Stream, Outdoor Life and SHOT Business. Gatto has been with the outdoor brands since 2004 and most recently served as advertising director.
Gatto will be responsible for all revenues across all three of the outdoor brands.
Zinczenko, who has run the titles since 2006, and is now Executive Vice President of the company, says Gatto is a natural fit to lead the group. “Greg has a strong understanding of what is happening in media today and how best to integrate new media, which is exactly what is best for these brands now,” says Zinczenko. “Add the fact that he is a true outdoorsman, he’s been responsible for the strong revenue growth of these titles and he has an outstanding reputation within this community.”

Prior to Bonnier, Gatto spent most of his eight years of ad agency experience at Saatchi & Saatchi before moving to print sales for Field & Stream and Outdoor Life in 2004 as part of Time Inc.’s Time4 Media. In 2005, Greg was promoted to Eastern Sales Manager of the outdoor titles, and then Endemic Sales Director, responsible for managing the sporting-goods sales effort across Field & Stream, Outdoor Life and SHOT Business. In 2010, Greg added the role of Online Sales Director to his list of responsibilities, and shortly thereafter was promoted to Advertising Director across all platforms.
Growing up in upstate New York, Greg was introduced to the outdoors at an early age and is an avid hunter and fisherman. He also has a passion for cooking and wine collecting.
