David Butler

Vice President, Digital Operations

David Butler was named Vice President, Digital Operations of Bonnier Corp. in March 2013.

David joined Bonnier Corp. in April 2012 as Digital Director of its Travel brands, and was promoted to Digital Director of the Active Interest Network five months later. As Vice President, Digital Operations, David is responsible for the processes and infrastructure that enable Bonnier’s 30-plus brands to serve and grow their digital audiences.

Under David’s leadership, more than a dozen brands, including Popular Science, Motorcyclist and Islands, have launched responsive and redesigned websites.

Prior to joining Bonnier, David played significant roles in digital product development with The New York Times Company, St. Petersburg Times and Congressional Quarterly. While Director of Editorial Product Development at the St. Petersburg Times, David led a redesign of the site and supported the growth of the Pulitzer Prize-winning PolitiFact.com.

David earned a B.A. degree from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP). David lives in Winter Park, Florida, with his wife, Julie. In his free time, David enjoys running, biking and volunteering with local animal welfare agencies.
