New York, NY—Elise Contarsy has been named Senior Vice President, Bonnier Consumer Products, it was announced today by Bonnier Corp. CEO, Eric Zinczenko. This new position is effective today. Contarsy will be based in Bonnier Corp.’s NY office with the goal of further developing Bonnier’s consumer products and brand licensing programs. This position will report to Zinczenko.

Elise Contarsy is a creative business executive with deep experience in merchandising, media and marketing. Her experience spans retailing, branding, licensing, multi-channel marketing, content and product development. She has lead successful brand building programs of significant scale for Martha Stewart and Better Homes & Gardens.  

Previously, Contarsy was the Vice President of Brand Licensing for Meredith Corporation from 2008 until March 2018. During this tenure she led the trademark licenses of Better Homes & Gardens to Walmart and Realogy. Additionally, Contarsy led the brand extension programs for EatingWell, Shape and Allrecipes into frozen foods, active-wear and housewares respectively.

Earlier in her career Contarsy was the VP, GMM of Product Development and Branding at Bed Bath & Beyond.  Prior to Bed Bath & Beyond, Contarsy was the Executive Vice President of Merchandising for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, from 1997 to 2004. In this role, Ms. Contarsy spearheaded the launch of Martha Stewart Everyday products offered at Kmart and Sears store throughout the US, Canada and Seiyu in Japan. Prior to this, Contarsy was the Design Director and Sourcing Manager at Calvin Klein Home.

Contarsy serves on the Board of the Licensing Industry Merchandising Association (LIMA) and is a consultant to the Private Label Manufacturers Association. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Contarsy resides in Chappaqua, NY with her partner and their two children.
