Irvine, CA — One day after acquiring multiple motorcycle brands, Bonnier Corp. has promoted Andrew Leisner to VP, Group Publisher of its new Bonnier Motorcycle Group. He was the publisher of existing Bonnier title Cycle World.

Leisner now heads the largest motorcycle-enthusiast media group in the world. Properties of the newly formed Bonnier Motorcycle Group include the top two motorcycle brands in the industry: Cycle World and Motorcyclist. They are joined by Sport Rider, Dirt Rider, Motorcycle Cruiser, Hot Bike, Baggers, Super Streetbike, Street Chopper and ATV Rider.

“I am excited to be able to lead this strong group of motorcycle media brands and the great people behind them,” said Leisner. “By having every segment of the motorcycle community under one company, we’ll be better able to serve motorcycle-media consumers, fueling their passion and growing the motorcycle industry.”

“Andy is an energetic and inspirational leader who empowers his people — all qualities that make him the perfect choice to lead our new group,” said Eric Zinczenko, Executive Vice President for Bonnier. “His passion for motorcycles, his knowledge of the market, his competitiveness and his ‘need to win’ are the perfect formula for leading this important business unit for Bonnier Corp.”

Leisner’s impact has been significant since he joined Bonnier in 2011. His results were recognized when he was named 2012 Sales Manager of the Year for the company. A former professional motorcycle racer, Leisner has worked his entire career in motorcycle media and marketing, including AMA Pro Racing, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the magazine American Roadracing and two stints at Cycle World — from 1993 to 2003 as Western Advertising Manager, and returning in 2010 as VP, Integrated Sales and Marketing, and then promoted to Publisher.

He’s a graduate of UCLA. He resides in Irvine, California, with his wife and three children.
