New York, NY—Amy Schellenbaum has been promoted to Group Digital Director, Bonnier Media, it was announced today by Joe Brown, VP, Editorial Director.
Amy has been Popular Science’s Online Director for the past three years, where she oversaw the magazine’s daily editorial content in addition to its social media, e-commerce, and video assets. She was named to Forbes’ 2018 30 Under 30 list for her work revitalizing the 146-year-old brand’s online presence.
In addition to her responsibilities at Popular Science, she will now oversee the digital assets for Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, and Saveur. Her appointment is effective immediately and she will continue to report to Brown.
“PopSci owes so much of its recent success to Amy’s digital savvy,” Brown says. “We now get to let her loose on some of the company’s most important titles. I can’t wait to see how she works with these other brands to turn each of their unique visions into even more online success.”
Prior to Popular Science, Schellenbaum was the Digital Editor at Travel + Leisure, and a Senior Editor for Curbed, Vox Media. She holds a BA in journalism and anthropology from the University of Connecticut and resides in Jersey City, New Jersey.
