Mike Federle Named Group Publisher of Bonnier Corp.’s Mountain Division

Boulder, Colo. – Bonnier Corp. CEO Terry Snow announced today that Mike Federle is the new Group Publisher of the Bonnier Mountain Group. Federle will head up SKI and Skiing magazines and SkiNet.com, plus Warren Miller Films.

Federle brings an impressive background of more than 25 years of sales experience, including a hugely successful tenure at Time Inc. As Group Publisher for that company's Business & Finance Network, he headed the division responsible for generating $400 million in advertising revenue for four titles — Fortune, Fortune Small Business, Money and Business 2.0 — and for the largest business and finance site, CNNMoney.com.

"Mike has a proven record of transforming and growing businesses," Snow says. "This is exactly what we are looking for to enhance our Mountain Group. He will truly motivate and energize a market that has great potential."

Dave Freygang, VP of Bonnier's Enthusiast Division, agrees. "We understand the challenges in the market and we are committed to making the necessary investments to help the industry grow," he says. "With Mike leading this charge, we will inspire, inform and entertain our readers and support our marketing partners in bold new ways."

Before being promoted to head Time Inc.'s Business & Finance Network, Federle was Worldwide Publisher of Fortune. He also served as Group Publisher for Fortune Small Business. Federle's background includes positions at People, Life and Ziff-Davis. Federle has been with Next Jump Inc. for the past year, where he was CEO of the Internet company specializing in merchant-funded rewards programs.

"I'm impressed with Terry and Dave's commitment to serving the snow sports industry, both the passionate enthusiasts and marketers alike," Federle says. "I look forward to joining the team in Boulder and working to leverage our current assets as well as bring new opportunities into play for our marketing partners."
