Bonnier’s Sailing World Sports New Look

Middletown, R.I. — Bonnier Corp.'s Sailing World magazine has unveiled a new design in its April issue. The redesign was crafted to better match the technical and energetic appearance of the sport today while preserving the essential content the magazine's readers have enjoyed for nearly 50 years.

"With all the changes in our sport over the past several years, the Sailing World of yesterday just didn't seem to sync with what sailing is today," said Sailing World Editor Dave Reed. "The magazine now has an entirely different appearance, but at its core, maintains what our readers have come to expect with each issue, while adding some surprises."

In its redesign, Sailing World has established a fresh look, starting with a new logo and cover design. The publication will bolster its instructional content with more From the Experts columns; add a "soapbox" column from pro sailor Ken Read; and feature more devices to connect Sailing World readers with its ever-expanding online content.

Sailing World will also be launching a new website in April to coincide with its redesign.

"Our goal with the redesign was to make the magazine as visually engaging as the great content we're known for," said Publisher Sally Helme. "We feel these changes will help Sailing World better connect with both new readers and our current loyal readers."
