Bonnier Names Former MTV Digital Head as VP, Digital Content Strategy
May 16, 2012 New York, N.Y. — Michael Alex has joined Bonnier Corp. as VP of Digital Content Strategy. In this newly created role, Alex will work closely with the centralized digital department heads on creating effective content strategies that can be leveraged at the brand level. In addition, he will work directly with the brand teams to help them sharpen their digital content offerings. Bonnier Corp. Alex worked for MTV for 15 years, where he spent most of his time in the digital and editorial operations of the network, including serving as VP, Digital of MTV News and Movies and VP of MTV News Online. Under his leadership, MTV.com became the No. 1 source of entertainment news for the highly desirable 15-24 age demographic. He also launched MTV's Movies website as a profitable content hub.
